Natural Infused Apple Cider Vinegar Rinse
Natural Shampoo bars perform the best when followed by a mild acidic rinse. Apple Cider vinegar has been slowly infused with hair and scalp friendly herbs. Rosemary, Nettle and Shavegrass (horsetail) have been used for centuries in tonics for hair treatments. This is an all-in one treatment for your hair containing all three of my favorite herb infusions in one convenient bottle.
Rosemary: reputed to help control dandruff and stimulate the scalp.
Nettle: slightly astringent, used in thinning hair preparations.
Shavegrass (horsetail): contains a natural silica which can bind to the hair shaft making it smoother.
Use 1-2 tablespoons infused ACV in a big glass of water. After shampooing with our shampoo bars pour this rinse over your hair (avoiding eyes!) and work thoroughly into hair and scalp. Rinse very well. Dry and style as normal.
8 fluid oz. Bottle $8.95
New to Shampoo Bars?
When you first start using a shampoo bar don't be surprised if you get what I call the "funky hair" syndrome. Your hair might be fly-away or look lank and heavy... This is just a temporary situation. Too many commercial conditioners and shampoos leave behind a coating on your hair. It might take a few days for the shampoo bar to strip off these excess conditioners. What you will be left with is shiny, full-bodied hair.
We like to recommend to new customers to rinse their hair with a mixture of 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar in 2 cups of water after shampooing. Work this mixture through really well and rinse, rinse, rinse with barely tepid water. Your hair won't smell like a pickle, just clean and fresh....I Promise!
One Note: These shampoo bars aren't recommended for use with really hard water. The extra minerals in the water bind with the suds and make them impossible to rinse off cleanly. If the shampoo doesn't work with your type of hair or water, they work nicely as a body shampoo.
